AHBA ACCREDITATION
A not-for-profit division of HBA
What is Healthcare Business Accreditation?
Accreditation is a practice that is implemented to guarantee all healthcare ARM specialists have raised the bar in terms of standards (in short; a guide or principles for governing actions, competency and ethics). The Accreditation Certificate awarded to a healthcare business partner serves as Certification that they have completed an independent survey process and passed it successfully. This guarantees that they have met all the required standards and are prepared to properly represent and support healthcare facilities.
The common denominator is each Healthcare ARM company applying for the Accredited HBA program must qualify as a contracted Healthcare Business Associate. We welcome any qualified Healthcare Business Associate, large or small. It's not the size, but the quality and dedication of their services.
Healthcare business partners that guarantee to abide by the accreditation standards have proven they will represent their healthcare partners with integrity and honesty as well as provide personnel specifically trained to assist their patients in resolving their financial obligation for their healthcare services.
The accreditation program is based upon a set of standards suggested and compiled with the help of healthcare providers, member of AHA, (American Hospital Association), HFMA, (Hospital Financial Managment Association), physicians, bankers, hospital CFO's and prominent members of the ARM industry. The Healthcare Branch of the program focuses solely on healthcare financial management and has undergone careful review by these partners and healthcare providers.
The Objective of the program is to protect the integrity of the Healthcare Branch of the ARM industry. The standards were selected, after careful review, and the program compiled with the help of the above mentioned healthcare partners to provide the healthcare industry with a list to assist them in the selection of trusted partners who will assist patients in the resolution of their healthcare obligations.
These standards will always remain as the foundation of this program. Rules and regulations are constantly changing and this program will adjust its standards accordingly by a Compliance selected from those Accredited partners.
